Class Descriptions

ddd26ab8-bb34-4076-9190-5ee448b4976eBasic Power: This is the best class to gain a solid yoga foundation. Whether you are brand new to yoga or have a consistent practice, you will learn to build your house upon a rock!

Power Hour & Power Vinyasa – All Levels: A 60 or 75 minute class that will take you through an empowering Vinyasa sequence. You will strengthen, stretch, breathe and feel from head to toe – not to mention break a sweat!

Slow Flow – All Levels: This is a Yin version of a Vinyasa flow class. All postures will be held for 2-8 breaths instead of 1 breath per posture. This sequence will center around the Sun Salutation flow with variations added in according to the needs of the class.

Gentle Yoga (Unheated) – All Levels: Perfect for beginners, those looking for a more restorative practice or pre/post-natal mommies, this class combines gentle stretching, light isometric strength training, long holds and a slower pace. You will leave feeling rejuvenated, restored and renewed – not to mention significantly less sweaty!

Intermediate/Advanced Power Vinyasa: This class is offered occasionally for our yoga students with a strong physical foundation and focused mind. Be ready for a creative, energizing flow that will challenge your practice and leave you feeling inspired!

$5 Monday Meltdown: A strong, hot and powerful flow set to good tunes is the perfect way to melt away those Monday blues! This 60 minute vinyasa flow will leave you feeling rejuvenated and cleansed at the same time. Come and start your week off right!

Compact Vinyasa- 45 minutes: No more excuses! This class is tailored to your busy schedule. Come in your lunch break or if you just need 50 minutes of Bliss!This class is designed to get you moving quickly and sweating fast while still allowing plenty of time for a yummy savasana! Whether you are new to yoga or not, this class will hit all the sweet spots!

Fire and Flow: Experience and grow the depths of your grace, strength, balance and flexibility in this dynamic 75 minute heated practice. Fire and Flow will include combination sequences that will strengthen your ability to transition from one asana to another on your mat. Knowing that the “whole is the goal”, this fluid flow will help you translate your practice off your mat. This is an all levels class. Modifications and variations are taught and encouraged to give you the freedom to feel your way through your practice. Get ready to dive deep, enter the realm of unknown and tap into your strength to  to discover peace and joy!

Gentle Flow & Meditation: Our Gentle Yoga class is held in a non-heated studio and focuses on releasing and rejuvenating your muscles and your mind. Relax into stretches and revive your tired mind and body!

Heated Slow Power: While it is slower than a traditional flow practice, you will breath deeply with great rhythm! We will work hard and play hard! Holding poses for longer duration is a robust experience in and of itself. The slower pace with an emphasis on alignment cuing and deep core work will leave you feeling stabilized, lengthened and strong!

Heated Steady Flow: This practice will allow you a well rounded experience! Whether you are new to yoga or have been on your mat for years, all are welcome. Beginners will learn the asanas (poses) and modifications to strengthen their bodies along. This class will also give challenging aspects to seasoned yogis, making this an All Levels class; feeding off the energy of fellow practitioners. Fell the burn as you learn which muscles to activate and release as you flow!

Meditation and Open Studio Time: Inspired by the Mysore style of Ashtanga, commUNITY yoga opens the doors to our beautiful studio space for you to come practice or meditate on your own any time between 6:30 and 8:30.

Interested in learning more about how props can be used to deepen your practice? Already have a practice and looking for commUNITY? Gina K will be on hand to introduce you to the space offering guidance, provide spotting or assistance!

When you start your practice, take time to remind yourself why you are practicing or meditating. Feel gratitude for setting aside the time to do this and remind yourself there is nothing else that needs done or figured out during this special time.

Open studio is offered by donation. Dollars or flowers or whatever you feel inspired to bring in the basket by the door!

Expectations: Please no conversations on in the studio. If you need assistance, please raise your hand. This os a share time and space, please respect others and their practice:)

Non Heated Strengthen and Flow: This is a non-heated, heart opening basic power. You will build heat, endurance and stamina as you connect your breath through this vinyasa flow!

Power Vinyasa Flow: If you are looking for a class that gives you a full sense of balance, than look no further!A 75 minute power vinyasa that will have you flowing and mindfully connecting the breath from posture to posture. This is an all levels class designed to strengthen and open both the body and the mind. You will leave feeling renewed, relaxed and rejuvenated!

Sunrise Vinyasa: A dynamic sequence of poses that creates a flow between the more static traditional hatha yoga postures. Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement. When practicing vinyasa yoga the poses flow from one another in conjunction with the breath. Warm-up sequences (sun salutations) are used, followed by standing sequences, balancing poses and seated poses. This class is intended to awaken and energize the morning mind and body. Suitable for all levels, mildly heated

Vinyasa Flow: A class designed to energize while helping you build strength and flexibility. This yoga class links breath and movement, and will keep you present as you learn to move more gracefully in and out of poses. Utilizing Sun Salutations, strength building and connected movements, Vinyasa Yoga will build confidence and help you stay present and centered. Flowing around the obstacles that come your way, this energetic practice will empower you with the strength to face anything. Suitable for all levels and it is mildly heated.

Weekend Warriors: This 75 minute heated class will showcase one of our powerful teachers! On the weekend, the crew alternates, allowing you to experience all of our leaders and what they have to offer! Carve out some time for you and spend your weekend with us!
